I gotta new house, gotta new bed, I gotta 'nother closet, and I gotta new refrigerator which is a lot bigger than the one we had in Hackney, man that thing wuz little!

I talked to Amber yesterday, I talked to my sister, talked t' sum friends that plays cards. I go sit 'n the pool room watch 'em play pool for while. We got sum interestin' people that plays pool: me, Slick, and Robert... A guy named Sam, he helped me a lot since I fell in the pool room, he and Joe and Sam they helped me up off the floor, if they hadn't been in there I hadn't a got up. I hadn't heard from Carrie 'n two weeks, I hadn't heard from 'at woman in two days! I hadn';t heard from Carrie 'n a good while. I used t' get a message from her once 'n a while.

Western Week

We hadda good Western Week, we hadda good tournament, and everything. Hadda good cardboard jail-- ever seen them cardboard jails, I never seen one, never bought one!-- hadda good Western Week, hadda good lunch, and everything. We had us a good tournament too, I didn't win, but I played! I gotta git my black hat clean next time, gotta git it clean! It'll look clean the next time.
